Wilshere to lead Norwich City on interim basis following Hoff Thorup dismissal

The former Arsenal midfielder joined the first-team coaching staff of Norwich City back in October after leaving his position as Arsenal’s Under-18s head coach. He will now be in charge of the club's two remaining fixtures following the dismissal of head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup.
"Norwich City can confirm that head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup has left the club with immediate effect. Assistant head coach Glen Riddersholm has also left his position. We would like to thank Johannes and Glen for their efforts during their time at the club," reads a statement from the club.
Hoff Thorup, appointed by the Canaries last summer, leaves the club 14th in the Championship after leading them to 13 wins, 14 draws and 17 defeats this term. His final game at the helm was Monday's 2-1 loss away at Millwall on matchday 44 of England's second tier.
Norwich followed up the news of Hoff Thorup's sacking with that of Wilshere's new role for the final two games of the term: "Jack Wilshere will take charge of the first team on an interim basis for our two remaining Sky Bet Championship fixtures. He will be assisted by Tony Roberts and Nick Stanley."
The 33-year-old interim manager will oversee Norwich City's trip to Middlesbrough (April 26), before hosting Cardiff City (May 3) on the final day of the season at Carrow Road. Wilshere will face his former Arsenal teammate, Aaron Ramsey, who was recently appointed Cardiff City's interim boss.
