Aaron Ramsey appointed Cardiff City interim head coach

Cardiff City have appointed Aaron Ramsey as first-team manager on an interim basis following Omer Riza's dismissal. The former Arsenal and Juventus midfielder will take the reins at the club until the end of the current campaign.
“Aaron Ramsey will lead the club for the remaining three games of the Championship season, beginning with Monday’s match at home to Oxford United,” reads a statement from the Welsh side.
“Chris Gunter, Joe Ralls, Tom Hutton, Matthew Bloxham, and Gavin Ward will join Aaron in the technical area. We’d like to thank Omer for his passion and effort during his time as Cardiff City manager and wish him the very best for his next steps in the game.”
Omer Riza was relieved of his duties as head coach following Friday’s 2-0 defeat at Sheffield United, which left Cardiff second-from-bottom in the Championship. The Bluebirds now find themselves one point away from safety with three games remaining.
Ramsey will therefore be tasked with the huge challenge of keeping Cardiff in England's second tier for the upcoming season. He will lead the club for the fixtures against Oxford United on April 21, West Bromwich Albion on April 26, and lastly Norwich City on May 3.
