'We gave them a lesson' - Alvarez responds to Raphinha's pre-match quotes

Julian Alvarez is in one of the most in-form moments of his career. The red-hot striker has impressed at club level this season following his move to Atletico Madrid, having become the leader of the 'Colchonero' attack with 23 goals in 44 games so far.
The former Manchester City striker has also managed to transfer this good momentum to the international level with Argentina, assisting the winning goal against Uruguay and opening the scoring in the thrashing of Brazil in this March international break.
After his great performance against the 'Selecao', the 'Colchoneros' striker was asked about Raphinha's controversial words before the match, to which he replied that they “taught them a lesson” and that he always thinks with humility.
"I just think with humility and hard work, we played a great game and gave them a lesson," said the Argentina striker. Alvarez added that with Messi on the pitch they could have scored two or three more goals.
"Maybe with Leo Messi on the pitch we might have scored 2/3 more goals," he concluded.
