Van Nistelrooy to hold talks over Leicester future after relegation

Ruud van Nistelrooy failed to salvage Leicester City's chances of Premier League football next season, as Sunday afternoon's 1-0 defeat at the King Power Stadium against leaders Liverpool sealed their return to the Championship for the second time in three campaigns.
The Dutch manager had just terminated his brief adventure at the helm of Manchester United on an interim basis when he succeeded Steve Cooper in November. He took charge of the Foxes when they were sitting 16th in the standings, one point above the relegation zone.
But after managing to earn just eight points from his 20 games in the Premier League, Van Nistelrooy's side find themselves down in 19th position on 18 points, becoming the second club to confirm their demotion to England's second tier after bottom-of-the-table Southampton.
According to 'GiveMeSport', Van Nistelrooy is now set to meet up with club chiefs next week to hold talks over his future at Leicester. As things stand, the former striker is said to be heading towards the exit door, with Russell Martin being discussed internally as a potential replacement.
