Transfer window opens doors for Chelsea clear-out

The Blues are reportedly encouraged by the level of enquiries and believe a new wave of departures could soon ease their bloated squad and wage bill.
Among those attracting attention is Christopher Nkunku. The Blues have significantly lowered their valuation of the French forward, with the asking price dropping from £65 million in January to roughly £43 million now.
Interest in the 27-year-old has surfaced from the Premier League, Serie A and the Bundesliga, with Chelsea keen to negotiate a deal swiftly. Meanwhile, Joao Felix could be on the move again, with a leading Portuguese club and several Saudi sides exploring a potential transfer.
The Londoners are open to letting the 25-year-old leave for a package worth €50 million, including bonuses. The forward spent the second half of the 2022/23 season on loan at Stamford Bridge before making his stay permanent.
Elsewhere, Raheem Sterling and Renato Veiga are also being monitored. A Champions League club on the continent is eyeing Sterling, with Chelsea believed to be willing to sanction his exit for around £20 million.
Veiga, the highly-rated 21-year-old defender, has attracted fresh interest from Atletico Madrid, joining Bayern Munich in the race for his signing. Chelsea are standing firm on a €40 million valuation.
