Fran Garcia doubt against Leganes due to an overloaded muscle

Left-back Fran Garcia suffers a thigh strain after last Saturday's game against Villarreal and will follow a specific recovery plan during this international break with the aim and confidence of being available for Real Madrid's next game, on Saturday 29th against Leganes at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

A minor setback as there are international commitments, enough time for the Spanish player to recover at the same time as the other left-back in the first team, Ferland Mendy, suffers a muscular injury that will keep him out for a further three weeks.

A femoral biceps injury in his left leg will keep Mendy out, while Fran Garcia finished the game against Villarreal with thigh problems, although, according to EFE sources at the club, he is expected to be fit for the next game against Leganes.

Fran Garcia's problems leave Carlo Ancelotti with only one healthy first-team player for the international break: Lucas Vazquez. The rest of the players who will be at the Ciudad Deportiva de Valdebebas will be injured -Mendy, Dani Ceballos, Jesus Vallejo, Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal-, continuing with their respective recovery processes.

One healthy player and 16 internationals in a week in which Lucas Vazquez will take part with the Real Madrid Castilla squad while the Italian coach will be keeping his fingers crossed that he doesn't add anyone to his list of absentees during the intentional break.
