Bayern director Eberl reflects on Wirtz’s Liverpool move

Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has spoken out after Florian Wirtz's refusal to join the Bavarian club and his possible move to Liverpool. Eberl acknowledged the initial disappointment at not being able to complete the move, but was positive about the future of the German club.
"At first you think, 'Damn', but when one door closes, another opens. You reset and prepare again for the future," Eberl said. He underlined the quality of the young German player and his potential to make his mark in English football.
Eberl added: "Florian will make his mark at Liverpool - he's an exceptional player, no question about it." Wirtz's move to Liverpool is one of the most talked-about moves on the market, given the player's projection and the interest of several big European clubs.
Bayern, for their part, are already working on new alternatives to strengthen their squad for next season. The sporting management is confident of finding solutions that will allow the team to remain competitive at both national and international level.
