Zaha rejects 'streets will never forget' tag

Although Wilfried Zaha has displayed undeniable talent during his time at Crystal Palace, some critics have argued that he never truly fulfilled his potential, often pointing to his inability to break into a top club as a reason why he hasn't left a lasting impact on the game.
This has led to fans associating him with the "streets won't forget" tag, typically given to players who are widely regarded for their skill but have not reached the pinnacle of football success.
In a candid Snapchat post, Zaha addressed the label, writing: "I just want to make this clear... not playing for the biggest clubs doesn't mean you're not a top player."
He continued: "I'm just a baller, and that's what I'll always be. So please, don't put me in the 'streets will never forget' category."
Zaha went on to emphasise that while he may not have amassed many major titles, that doesn't diminish his talent. "I may not have won much in football, but that doesn't define my skill. True ballers know that it's not about the badge you wear."
Having played for clubs like Galatasaray and Lyon after leaving the Premier League, Zaha is currently on loan at Charlotte FC in MLS, where he continues to showcase his abilities on the pitch.
