Yedlin hammered Newcastle level

Newcastle had fallen behind thanks to an early effort from Raheem Sterling, and looked like being a long afternoon for Rafa Benitez and his side. 

The Spaniard has been criticised for his defensive tactics against the top teams, but against City it seemed there was little else he could do. Even after scoring, the attacks kept coming and coming. 

However, with half an hour on the clock, Newcastle made a rare foray forward. 

Kenedy picked up the ball and set Rondon free down the left wing, and the Venezuelan played an enticing cross to the back post out of the reach of Ederson. 

Arriving like a bullet train was Yedlin, with only Gabriel Jesus tracking him. Benjamin Mendy was nowhere to be seen and the American had an open goal to slam the ball into. 1-1 and City were stunned.
