Yamal, Nico and Fabian miss Spain training with Germany blockbuster on the horizon

Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams and Fabian Ruiz were absent from Spain's training session, three days ahead of the UEFA EURO 2024 quarter-final against Germany, while Aymeric Laporte was on the sidelines for a gentle jog before leaving the training session.

The image was striking because of the absence of three of the players who are shining brightest in the Spanish national team, Yamal, Nico Williams and Fabian, and because it was Laporte who barely did five minutes of running, after missing the first match of the European Championship due to a muscular problem.

According to federation sources, there are no injuries among the 26 internationals and coach Luis de la Fuente is paying close attention to the physical condition of his players.

The first-choice players who needed a rest were able to choose to have it on Tuesday, with alternative strength work in the gym without putting on their boots for the on-field work.

Dani Carvajal, Robin Le Normand, Mar Cucurella, Rodri Hernandez, Pedri and Alvaro Morata, who joined the rest of the squad in the first joint session focusing on the match against Germany next Friday, did.
