Xabi Alonso accepted Leverkusen's offer and he will sign until 2024

Leverkusen are not having a good time in the Bundesliga. They are penultimate with five points. The future for Gerardo Seoane is not clear and the German team have targeted Xabi Alonso, ex-coach from Real Sociedad B, as the new replacement for the bench. 

According to 'Marca', this interest is now an offer and the ex-coach will take this challenge in an elite bench.

The same source said that Alonso will sign for the rest of the season and one more term, until June 2024. 

It is good to remember that Xabi knows the Bundesliga perfectly because he played at Bayern Munich from 2014 until his retirement in 2017. 

The cited media outlet reported that the agreement will be made official, by Leverkusen, in the coming hours.
