Without Ortega save Arsenal are champions - Guardiola

Manchester City are on the verge of an unprecedented fourth successive Premier League title after they claimed a hard-fought win in the game in hand against Tottenham at what has been their bogey stadium until now. 

The Sky Blues, who go into the final day two points clear of second-placed Arsenal, could have let the title slip through their fingers when Son had a one-on-one situation late in the second half. 

Stfean Ortega, who had come on in the second half to replace Ederson after the Brazilian took a blow to the head, denied Spurs' South Korean to prevent a late equaliser that would have been key to Arsenal's dependence on themselves going into the final day. 

Cityzens manager Pep Guardiola praised the German goalkeeper's save, which the Spaniard said could be worth a Premier League title. "He defined, I would say, how the team is a team. Ortega saved the actions otherwise Arsenal will be champions," he said.

"Do you know how many times Son punished us in the last seven or eight years? I said ‘No, not again.’ But Stefan made an incredible save. He has this talent. In one-on-ones, he is one of the best 'keepers I’ve ever seen in my life," added the Catalan coach.
