Wirtz's first interview: 'I saw myself in the best hands in Liverpool FC'

Florian Wirtz has given his first interview after completing his move to Liverpool, marking the start of a new phase in his professional career.

The young German midfielder explained that he felt it was the right time to take a step forward and look for a club at the highest level.

In his own words: "I just thought that it was the right point in my career to make the next step and of course I wanted to get to a club that is from the top three in the world, and in my opinion Liverpool was one of them."

Wirtz stressed that, after learning about the project, he was convinced that it was the best option for his future. "I just saw myself in the best hands in Liverpool. I was really convinced by the people here, by the idea, and everything what the club offers me was really good."
