What now, Leo?

With Messi missing out on the friendly against Spain on Tuesday evening, now there is doubt cast over his upcoming Barcelona fixtures. Valverde's side have a demanding schedule and Messi will return to Barcelona on Wednesday to assess the different options.
The Argentine's risk of fibrillar rupture was avoided by sitting out the international fixtures, which could mean that he also withdraws from the clash against Seville on Saturday at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
More importantly, Barcelona will face Roma in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals four days later. Although in the run up to that game, the extent of the muscle injury will be assessed.
The forward may well still travel to Seville to provide extra options, either from the bench or with the possibility to withdraw last-minute. Depending on whether he does travel to Seville or not, the decision will act as an indicator to what extent the concern is regarding his injury.
In April, in addition to the Roma match, Barcelona will play against Seville again in the Copa del Rey final scheduled to take place on 21st April.
