"What I say is of little value if we don't score goals"

Unai Simon was unable to lead Spain to the quarter-finals. Despite a saving save in extra time, the Athletic goalkeeper was eliminated, along with 'la Roja', at the World Cup in Qatar.

The goalkeeper spoke on 'RTVE' about the match against Morocco and what it means to not qualify for the quarter-finals of the biggest international tournament.

"I think that in the 120 minutes of the game we were better than our opponents, but what I say now is of little value if we don't score goals," Unai Simon told public television.

The 'la Roja' goalkeeper acknowledged Morocco's superiority in the end: "In the penalty shootout, they were better, and that's what got them to the quarter-finals.
