West Ham agree to sign Gedson Fernandes

The 21-year-old midfielder has a lot of interest from Premier League clubs, with Chelsea showing also showing their interest in him.

David Moyes, West Ham manager, revealed on Thursday that the Hammers won't be signing many players in January, but that they are certainly interested in Fernandes, valued at 34 million pounds.

He said: 'We won't be bringing in a bundle of players. Gedson Fernandes is one we're talking about. More importantly, he's a young player for the future and he has a good pedigree."
