Werner said goodbye with a brace to end the year on 34 goals

He began the season scoring and that is how he signed off as well at RB Leipzig. Timo Werner's last game was at Augsburg, where he managed to score the two goals which sealed Leipzig's third place finish. They also sealed a third placed finish.
Two more goals for Werner who finished the goalscoring charts in second behind Robert Lewandowski. He finished on 28, six behind the Pole.
Both were typical of a number '9' and showed some of his strengths. In the first goal, he got away from his marker, got into the area and scored at the near post.
In the second one, 10 minutes from time, he beat his opposite number, and hit a shot across Koubek.
The German striker will join Chelsea after having had his best year in professional football. He scored 34 goals and got 13 assists in 45 matches.
His club said goodbye to him on social media as the top scorer in the club's history.
