'We want to show the team we are' - Courtois warns Barcelona

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, after winning 0-1 against Getafe, is already thinking about next Saturday's Copa del Rey final against Barcelona, in which, he assured, they want to “show the team” they are to win the title. "We are very focused and very excited about the final. We have lost in the Champions League and we are second in La Liga, but the Copa del Rey final against Barca is very important for everyone. We want to show what a team we are", he commented on ‘Realmadrid TV’.
It would be a triumph for which, in his opinion, they must show great defensive commitment, as they did against Getafe. "It's important to keep a clean sheet. It's always good to have that defensive solidity and we get it if everyone is focused on giving 100% in defence. We have to show the same on Saturday in the final," he said.
"In the first half, the pitch was a bit dry, but we tried to get into a rhythm and we scored the opener. They defended with a low block and, at halftime, we tried to look for the second goal. In the second half, we lacked good passes, to find people unmarked after their pressing and it was hard for us to create more danger, but we defended well and it's important to leave here with the three points, which gives us confidence for what's to come", he said about the match.
In addition, after analysing his performance, with two good saves to keep the 0-1 scoreline, he hinted that he will be the goalkeeper for the final, something that has not yet been confirmed by his coach, Carlo Ancelotti, as the Ukrainian Andriy Lunin was the starter in the rest of the matches of the competition. "In the first half, I was calm. In the second, there were more complications. The last one is about being focused. I hope to repeat that on Saturday," he concluded.
