"We have to enjoy these games, it can be a great night"

Rodrigo de Paul appeared in the press room to address the preview of the second leg of the Champions League round of 16. The Atletico Madrid player spoke of the importance of matches like the one that awaits his team against Real Madrid.
“When you face these types of matches, you also have to enjoy them because you don't play them all the time. You have to understand that, to achieve what we want, you have to be all together. It doesn't depend on one thing. These matches are won as a group. I have the confidence and peace of mind that there is a group in which everyone is needed for 90 minutes. Tomorrow could be a great night for all of us,” he stressed.
The mental aspect, key among others from Rodrigo de Paul's point of view: “I think everything in itself is fundamental in a tie like this. The mental, tactical, physical.... It's a whole and it's not just about one thing. We have to be prepared in all aspects to achieve what we want, which is to get through the tie”.
Where do Atletico Madrid's aspirations lie? “In scoring more goals. In football, the best team doesn't always win. At the Bernabeu we played a great game and certain situations can swing one way or the other. Tomorrow 90 minutes are very long and we have to be intelligent and see when to go for the goal and when to be calm”, he assured.
Rodrigo de Paul concluded by mentioning Jude Bellingham: “All of Madrid's players are of the highest level. They always lead you to have that concern and focus to face them. Bellingham has different characteristics, but Modric, Tchouameni... can play. I don't look so much at who is in front of me”.
