"We have all seen what happened on the pitch"

Atletico Madrid captain Koke Resurreccion said on Sunday that “the 4-0 scoreline” with which Paris Saint-Germain defeated his team on the first day of the Club World Cup was “not fair” and regretted some key moments, including the goal disallowed to Julian Alvarez for a foul that could have been called or not, according to him.
"The team had started well at the beginning. We know the level that Paris have, that's why they are the European champions, and we knew it was a complicated game, but for me the 4-0 scoreline is not so fair. When we were able to equalise with the action of Antoine (Griezmann), we conceded the second and that killed us," he said in statements to DAZN.
"The team pushed forward, we had some chances, we even made it 2-1 with a foul that if he wants to call it, he calls it and if he doesn't want to call it, he doesn't. We've seen what happened in the first half. We have all seen what happened on the pitch, but they are fair winners, because of the level they have. They were better and congratulations," he said.
He added: “We have to press harder, as we did in the second half, when we saw a different team wanting the ball, getting into the opponent's box and the sending off killed us”. For Koke, "some may be yellow, others may not, but it has always fallen on the same side".
He is already looking ahead to Seattle Sounders and Botafogo. "Two very important matches, the Seattle match is very important to win and Botafogo is just as important if we want to qualify. We have the level to do it and we are all on our toes for the next match," he said.
