"We don't know if we are favourites or not, but we have a great team"

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabian Ruiz on Sunday avoided pointing out whether or not his team is a favourite for the Club World Cup title after a 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid in the first round of Group B matches.
"We don't know if we are favourites or not, but we don't think about that, but in every game give the maximum, try to win every game. We know it will be difficult with the competition with all the best teams in the world and we will try to do our best; reach the final, which is our goal, and try to win," he said in the mixed zone.
"We have illusion and desire. We are not looking beyond that, but match by match we will try to give our best, try to play our game, have a great tournament and win this trophy, which is important. We don't think beyond that, but try to give our best in every game," added the Spanish international midfielder.
“We have a great team, we are having a great season and with enthusiasm we want to have a great tournament,” added Fabián, who said he was “happy with the result and with this victory.”
"We knew it was going to be difficult, that Atletico Madrid is a great team. We played a great match from start to finish, happy for the goal, but more for the result, which is the important thing", valued the footballer, who said that the heat during the match was "incredible".
His next opponent will be Botafogo. "We know they are a great rival, they have been champions in Brazil. Now we have to recover a little and, starting this Monday, prepare for a match that we know will be difficult", he said.
