"We are better as a team" - Joao Neves on Liverpool showdown

Paris Saint-Germain's Portuguese midfielder Joao Neves acknowledged that facing Liverpool, their Champions League round of 16 opponents, will be a difficult test because of the individual quality they have, but felt they are better as a team.
“They have great players and I think the best way to defend them is to keep possession of the ball. We are going to move the ball a lot and run a lot. I think we are better as a team,” he said in the press room.
The Portuguese midfielder considered that his team has improved a lot and has gained in confidence since the early stages of the Champions League, when they lost to Arsenal and Bayern Munich, and although he pointed out that they played well then, now they also score goals.
“It's been four months since we lost, we are in a good dynamic, in full confidence,” said the player.
For the Portuguese, one of the keys to the match will be “intensity” and his team's ability to continue the same line of play they have shown all season.
“We have to avoid conceding early goals. I'm happy with the way we're playing and we'll have to keep it up. Whatever the result, we have to take the same approach, maintain the same quality,” he said.
Neves assured that he decided to stay at PSG because he is very attracted to Luis Enrique's way of working: “I really like his ideas and I think they are the best way to win. We apply what he tells us and that makes everything easier.”
