Vlahovic headed towards Juventus exit

He landed in Turin with big expectations on his shoulders, but failed to live up to them. Dusan Vlahovic's journey with Juventus is likely to end this summer after four underwhelming seasons from the Serbian striker, reports Fabrizio Romano.
Juventus splashed out €80 million to sign Vlahovic from Fiorentina in January 2022, becoming the fourth most expensive winter transfer in history. There was massive excitement surrounding the deal, but the 26-year-old never fully hit the ground running.
Vlahovic scored nine goals in his first (half) season with the Bianconeri, racking up 14 and 18 in the following two campaigns. He counts 15 so far in 2024/25, but that is nowhere near the standards for a player of his calibre.
Adding to his woes were the off-pitch controversies that surrounded him, often leading to sanctions by former Juventus manager Thiago Motta. Under Igor Tudor, it's been no better. Only in Sunday's 2-0 win over Udinese did Vlahovic score to end his nine-match goal drought.
But it is not enough to guarantee him a fresh deal. Vlahovic's contract runs until June 2026, but as things stand, Juventus will not be offering him a renewal. They will hope to get some of the money back by offloading him this summer before they are forced to let him go as a free agent next year.
