Vinicius' stunning assist reminiscent of Real Madrid icon Guti

Real Madrid all but sealed their win against Salzburg on the stroke of half-time. In fact, the 2-0 lead came right at the end of the first half. With a magical assist from Vinicius to Fede Valverde that inevitably brought to mind Guti's famous back-heel to Benzema at Riazor. 

It wasn't quite the same; in fact, the Brazilian's action was a little bit different, not a back-heel pass, but equally effective and with many similarities. For, like Guti that day, Vinicius had everything to look for a shot on goal. However, to everyone's surprise, he ultimately opted to assist his team-mate. 

Fede Valverde had only to push the ball in, just like Benzema in that league game in 2010. To take advantage of the gift from Vinicius, who stepped on the ball gently and set him up for the 2-0 lead.

Guti himself, who was covering Salzburg-Real Madrid on 'DAZN', admitted that the winger's great move reminded him of the determination he had once shown when he provided one of the most iconic assists in LaLiga history.
