Vinicius out for Athletic game and focused on Man City

Brazilian Vinicius, scorer of the opening goal against Osasuna on Saturday, will miss the game against Athletic Club on 31 March due to an accumulation of yellow cards.

The Real Madrid striker picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in La Liga after continuously protesting a decision by referee Martinez Munuera in the 44th minute.

This card will prevent him from playing against Athletic Club. Englishman Jude Bellingham will return for the game at the Santiago Bernabeu after serving his two-match ban for being sent off after the final whistle at Mestalla.

Meanwhile, Vinicius, due to the suspension, coupled with the international break and the fact that there will be no La Liga action on the first weekend of April due to the Copa del Rey final, will not play for Real Madrid until 9 April, in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City, a competition in which he is suspended.
