Real Madrid hosted Sheriff Tiraspol in a Champions League game on Tuesday. 

The visitors took a surprise lead in the 25th minute when Jasurbek Yakhsiboev headed in. Madrid pressed for an equaliser and finally got it after Karim Benzema converted a VAR penalty after 65 minutes after a foul on Vinicius. The game looked to be ending in a draw until Sebastien Thill hit one from outside the box into the top corner in the 89th minute.
