VIDEO: Sporting Gijon fail to win penalty shootout after GK substitution

Sporting Gijon hosted Cadiz in a Copa del Rey last 16 clash on Saturday. 

Neither side was able to break the deadlock at El Molinon and the 30 minutes of extra-time also ended goalless. The game went to penalties and Sporting swapped their goalkeeper as Joel Jimenez came on Diego Marino, but it did not work. Fran Villalba and Pedro Diaz missed Sporting's first two spot kicks and despite Kravets and Campuzano both converting their efforts, Alex Fernandez, Alvaro Negredo, Alberto Perea and Santiago Arzamendia all netted for Cadiz. Cadiz will now be in the quarter-final draw which takes place on Friday and the ties will be played between 1st and 3rd February.
