Mareval's long punt forward ended up in the back of the net. DUGOUT

Back in 2009, Nantes took on Nîmes in Ligue 2. Maréval scored an incredible goal after only eight seconds of the match. Nantes ended up winning the game.

In September 2009, Nantes faced Nimes at the Stade de la Beaujoire on matchday eight of the 2009/10 Ligue 2 season.

The home side took the lead after just eight seconds through a crazy goal by Remi Mareval. The ball was passed to the then 26 year-old from the kick-off and his 60 yard punt bounced over the Nimes goalie. Stephane Darbion doubled Nantes' advantage in the 17th minute before Jean-Jacques Mandrichi made it 2-1 just before the interval. Nimes were unable to find an equaliser and the hosts took away the three points.
