VIDEO: Jorge Soto’s late winner v Velez

Peruvian side Sporting Cristal and Argentinian club Velez met in the Copa Libertadores last 16 in 1997 and it was 0-0 in the first leg in Lima. 

In the second leg at the Estadio Jose Amalfitani in Buenos Aires, the match looked to be heading for extra time until the then 25 year-old Peruvian midfielder Jorge Soto netted in the 88th minute to give Sporting Cristal victory. 

The Peruvian outfit reached the final of the competition before losing 1-0 in the two legged final to Brazilian club Cruzeiro. Check out Jorge Soto's goal in the video below!
