In one of the most iconic play-off finals, Manchester City triumphed over Gillingham to earn promotion to the First Division in 1999.

On the 30th May 1999, Man City were playing in the 3rd tier of English football.

They were 2-0 down against Gillingham in the playoff final in the 90th minute, with Horlock and Dickov scoring to level the match.

They eventually won on penalties.
