Vasco da Gama travelled to Recife to face Sport Recife in the Brasileirao on Saturday. 

The visitors, who were winless in nine, took the lead after 25 minutes at the Estádio Adelmar da Costa Carvalho through German Cano and the same player struck again seven minutes into the second period to seal the points in a 0-2 victory. They were the Argentine's first goals since 13th September and he ended Sport Recife's three match unbeaten run.
