VIDEO: Avaí and Palmeiras share the spoils in four goal thriller

On Sunday, Avaí hosted Palmeiras at the Ressacada for a Brazilian Serie A clash. Both sides took a point each from the match.

It was Avaí who made the breakthrough in additional time at the end of the first half. Guilherme Bissoli netted from the penalty spot in minute 45+8. After the break, Gustavo Scarpa answered back in the 47th minute before Rony put Palmeiras 1-2 up. However, Jean Pyerre put the game back on level terms once again in the 73rd minute and the match ended 2-2.

The result means Palmeiras remain in top spot on 29 points, while Avaí are in 11th.
