After a goalless first half, the away side got themselves ahead thanks to Park Sang-Hyeok's 64th minute strike. As they seemed destined for defeat, Ansan were provided the golden opportunity to rescue a point with a last-minute penalty decision. Asnawi stepped up and initially converted from the spot, but he was made to re-take it after Ansan players had encroached into the area. Unfortunately for the wing-back, his second attempt proved unsuccessful.

After their defeat, Ansan remain in sixth on 28 points. Gimcheon, meanwhile, go top on 37, overtaking Anyang who are now in second.
