VIDEO: Amazing goals as Tigres prepare for the 2022 Apertura debut

On Sunday, Tigres will host Cruz Azul at the Estadio Universitario for their Liga MX Apertura season opener. The match is due to kick off at 02:05 CEST.

In this fixture last year, the two teams shared the points as the match finished 1-1. Tigres in fact scored both goals that game, the first came via a Hugo Ayala own goal, which was quickly followed up by a Gignac strike. At the end of their 2021 Apertura campaign, Tigres finished in 4th place. Atlas eventually won the playoff for overall winners.
