Varane took advantage of GK howler to put Madrid ahead

Epiphany is just round the corner and at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez, Getafe seemed to be in the mood to give out gifts. 

David Soria came out for an aerial ball in the heart of the Getafe area. In the fight in the air, Varane put his head there to score and that highlighted the shocking error by the keeper. 

A goal which was a major setback for the home side and that lifted Real Madrid in the Madrid derby in La Liga.

Getafe though had a magnificent opportunity just minutes beforehand which was saved by Courtois. He saved a goal which could well have changed the course of the game.
