Van de Beek, teammate or replacement for Pogba?

Not even Solskjaer has managed to get the best United back. After the first half of the season, the Red Devils are in fifth place with 31 points, 27 behind the unbeatable Liverpool and five behind Chelsea, who have an assured spot in the Champions League. 

As a result, the Old Trafford offices are planning new additions to the squad for the second half of the season in order to secure a place in the next edition of the Champions League.

Paul Pogba's intermittent injuries in recent weeks has led United to look for one more midfielder on the market. As ESPN reports, that name is Van de Beek.

The Dutchman did not move from Ajax in the last transfer window despite rumours placing him at Real Madrid. Meanwhile, sources in England claim he could be the perfect replacement for the Frenchman. 

Others, however, are confident of Paul Pogba's continuity and say that Van de Beek is the necessary piece to make Pogba work even better when he returns to the pitch.
