Valverde will not be sanctioned after alleged assault on Baena

Fede Valverde has been acquitted of the 'Baena case', i.e. the one that investigated the alleged assault he had committed on Alex Baena after Real Madrid's La Liga match against Villarreal last season at La Ceramica. This is the decision of the Competition Committee, as reported by the likes of 'El Espanol' and 'Marca'. The allegations of the player's club and his lawyers have been accepted.
What happened in the 'Baena case'? Several journalists - Gerard Romero, in 'Jijantes'; Nil Sola, in 'SER', or Ruben Canizares, in 'ABC' - told that the 'Groguet' said to Fede Valverde during the match at La Cerámica "cry now that your child is not going to be born" - the 'Merengue's partner told in her social networks that there was a complication with her second pregnancy and the little one was at serious risk, although, in the end, everything turned out well-. This is the reason why, according to the leaked story, the Uruguayan looked for him in the car park to punch him in the cheekbone and rebuke him: "Tell me now what you said about my son".
The case was already closed 3 weeks ago by the criminal court, that is, the court of instruction that received the complaint from the Yellow Submarine player. The latter, a few days after the domestic championship match, confirmed what had happened and indicated that he had formalised a complaint which, 3 months later, has come to nothing. Both administrative and sporting channels have been exhausted, so there will be no punishment for the alleged offender.
The aim of the accusation was to keep him out of Carlo Ancelotti's squad for five matchdays, but in the end, the coach will be able to count on him at the start of the campaign. He is an important player for the Italian coach, who will probably have welcomed the news. He is one of his favourites and, in fact, tends to exploit his goalscoring profile by challenging him to score a certain number of goals per season.
