Valencia to renew Diakhaby's contract

Valencia defender Mouctar Diakhaby is one of so many players whose contract expires in June 2023. However, everything seems to indicate that the defender will stay at Valencia for several more years.
'Deportes COPE' reports that the 26 year-old French footballer will not change club in the summer and that he will pen a new deal at Valencia until 2027.
Valencia coach Gennaro Gattuso told the board that they will make an effort to renew Diakhaby, who has gradually become an important player in the squad. However they will probably not be able to count on him for the Copa del Rey clash with Sporting Gijon.
Valencia's corporate director Javier Solis confirmed that there had been talks with the defender in comments to 'Relevo': "We're about to complete the agreement now. It just needs signing, but an agreement between both parties is very close."
Therefore, barring unexpected events at the last minute, Valencia will renew Diakhaby and he will earn three million euros a season.
