United get off to a winning start thanks to their talents

Goals from Tahith Chong and Pellistri gave Manchester United a 2-1 win over Derby County in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side's first pre-season match.

Manchester United played their first game of the pre-season on Sunday 18th July, and recorded a fine 2-1 win over Championship side Derby County.

With many of their stars still out of training, the match was an opportunity for many of the Old Trafford youngsters to show off to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

One of the talents who left his mark on the match was Tahith Chong, who will be on loan at Birmingham this season but will spend part of his pre-season with United.

The Dutchman made it 0-1 in the 18th minute and the score remained unchanged until Pellistri, another of the Red Devils' great talents, made it 0-2 in the 59th minute.

With the game passing the midway point of the second half, the legendary Kazim-Richards put the final 1-2 on the scoreboard and United managed to hold on to start their run of friendlies with a positive impression.
