Uncertainty for Barca: Man City improve offer to Gundogan

Man City and Barcelona are facing off for Ilkay Gundogan. He is out of contract in Manchester on June 30th this summer, and the English side have offered him the option to renew, even though he has reportedly given his word to the Catalans over the move. Nothing is signed however, so both clubs are waiting on the player.

According to 'Mundo Deportivo', City have made a move to try and convince him to stay. The club has reportedly improved their offer to the German, if he decides to stay.

Barca for their part, have offered him a contract for three seasons, which seemed to tempt the midfielder, but nothing has been signed yet.

Camp Nou, despite City's new and improved offer, remain calm. The German promised to sign with the Spaniards and the club believe he'll stay true to his word, regardless of the money the English champions could give him.

Both City and Barca are waiting for Gundogan to pull them out of uncertainty and to announce which of the options tempts him the most. Both sides are crossing their fingers he announces his decision soon, so they can continue their plans for next season, with or without him.
