UEFA approves renewed transfer dealings between Girona and Man City

Girona have received confirmation from UEFA that they can fully resume transfer operations with Manchester City, a decision that ends the restrictions imposed last season due to both clubs' involvement in the Champions League, sources within the Catalan club have confirmed to EFE.
UEFA has taken into account the transfer window that opened before the Club World Cup in June and considers that the three transfer windows without operations between both clubs, as stipulated by regulations for teams with the same ownership, have been fulfilled.
This news opens the door for Michel Sánchez's side to receive young players from the English club, such as Brazilian centre-back Vitor Reis, Norwegian midfielder Sverre Nypan, and Argentinian attacker Claudio Echeverri.
The last City players to play on loan at Girona were wing-back Yan Couto and attacker Savinho Moreira, two key figures in the team's third-place finish and Champions League qualification in the 2023/24 season.
With three weeks to go before their La Liga EA Sports debut on Friday, 15 August against Rayo Vallecano at Montilivi, Girona are, along with Real Sociedad, the only team yet to make any signings.
