Tunisian league to return in July

Ahmed Gaaloul gave good news. The minister announced in statements circulated by the local press on Thursday that the Tunisian league will resume between the end of June and start of July.

"Teams may return to training from May 24th, but each federation must follow strict rules that will be prepared in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Sports", he affirmed.

The resumption of training and sports activity will coincide with the end of Ramadan, a month of abstinence in which Muslims fast during the day, something which obviously affects the performance of athletes.

43 people have died so far due to illnesses related to the coronavirus in Tunisia, while 591 have recovered. A total of 1025 have been infected.
