Tunisia left heartbroken as Spain sneak last-minute winner

The first-half got underway at the Krasnodar Stadium in Russia but for the most-part was largely uneventful. Spain had headed into the clash as the clear favourites, but really struggled to assert their dominance over Tunisia.
The 'Roja' held onto 78% of the possession in the first fifteen minutes of the match, but were unusually unsuccessful at converting their possession into points on the scoreboard.
Before the break, Tunisia were actually able to create more scoring opportunities, with the only real chance in the first-half coming from a searing cross by Ali Maaloul that was pushed just wide by Naim Sliti.
Spain struggled to break through the Tunisian defence, who put in a plucky and relentless performance, and left goalkeeper Aymen Mathlouthi largely unthreatened.
The second-half followed much of the same formula and culminated in an animated final ten minutes, with both sides desperately seeking out a late winner and it certainly looked as though Tunisia were going to be the ones to do it.
However, Spain's Diego Costa broke into the area flanked by two defenders, and managed to poke the ball back to Iago Aspas. The forward then fired a searing strike to the back of the far post, leaving Tunisia heartbroken.
