Tunisia goalkeeper accused of faking injury so team-mates can end fast

In the recent international friendlies against Portugal and Turkey, Hassen went down injured in the 58th and 47th minutes respectively, with both "injuries" coming shortly after sundown, when the fasting ends.
Whilst he was administered with treatment, his team-mates rushed to the sidelines to drink water and eat dates.
The tactic paid immediate dividends, with Tunisia equalising against Portugal just six minutes after Hassen's antics.

The majority of the Tunisia squad are devout muslims and as such are currently observing the holy month of Ramadan, which sees them fast during daylight hours.
The timings of Hassen's injuries tallied almost perfectly with the time of sundown, when the fast may be broken.
Tunisian international Chaker Alhadhur hinted at the deception on Twitter, messaging Hassen saying: "It's all right now, we know you were pretending," leading the goalkeeper to reply: "I was hurt, bruv".
Fortunately for Tunisia, Ramadan will be over by the time they face England in their World Cup opener on June 18.
