Tottenham lose two in a row at the hands of Wolves

Tottenham lost a second successive home game in North London this Sunday, as Wolves followed up Southampton's victory over them on Wednesday.
Raul Jimenez gave Wolves the perfect start in the sixth minute, as the Mexican volleyed home after Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris weakly spilled Leander Dendoncker's effort. If that was an ugly goal to concede, there was worse to come for Tottenham as they imploded in the 18th minute. Lloris was involved again with a woeful pass to Ben Davies, prompting the startled defender to gift possession to Wolves. Daniel Podence's shot was deflected onto the post by Davinson Sanchez and Dendoncker bundled in from close-range.
After a very poor first half performance in which Ryan Sessegnon was subbed off after just 28 minutes, Spurs pushed hard in the second half, but to no avail. Their quality in the final third was lacking just as much as it was in their defense, as Son squandered a number of good positions and chances. Kane went missing for most of the match, another quiet performance from the England captain this season.
Wolves, who climbed one point above Tottenham into seventh, have now won four successive top-flight away games for the first time since 1980.
Antonio Conte's side, loudly booed off at full-time, dropped to eighth place, four points adrift of the Champions League places.
