"The yellow card was a misunderstanding, it was a message for my nephew"

The Spanish central defender was the player interviewed by Spanish TV straight after the victory in Bucharest. Ramos also scored the first of Spain's two goals in Romania. 

He scored from the penalty spot after Ceballos was fouled in the area. Ramos sent Tatarusanu the wrong way and just afterwards, he made the glasses gestures towards the camera. 

That led to Aytekin showing him a yellow card. "It was a misunderstanding. It was for my nephew. Both of us wear glasses and it was to show him that there is no problem in wearing glasses. The referee understood it in the end and apologised. It's difficult to interpret things correctly when there's so much noise," the defender told 'TVE'. 

On the match, he said that they knew it "was going to be difficult. Every international game is difficult and that is what t was, We had a great first half, we could have been further ahead at the interval. When we went 0-2 up, we took the foot off the gas and they took advantage. The result is fair, but we must learn to kill off those types of games," he added. 

The match from Robert Moreno's first game since being officially appointed Spain coach, but the objective has not changed. "In the end, wining away from home and getting three points makes you more relaxed. We haven't achieved anything yet and we want to top the group. Now it's time to rest and we have another game on Sunday. We hope it will be easier in front of our own fans," the Spain captain concluded.
