The man who scored at the Camp Nou: Rashford set to join Barca

Barcelona are poised to have Marcus Rashford in their ranks. The England forward will be looking to show what he once was in the world elite. The footballer who is still a Manchester United player already knows what it's like to make a mess at the Spotify Camp Nou. He fuelled the fall of Xavi Hernández's team.
It happened in the 2022-23 campaign, when the Catalan club were navigating the Europa League. At the first hurdle in the knockout stages, and with Erik ten Hag in the dugout, the brand new 'Azulgrana' signing contributed to the 2-2 draw in the Catalan capital. And with the 2-1 at Old Trafford, he witnessed the tragedy from afar.
16 February 2023. Marcos Alonso put Barcelona ahead with a 1-0 lead from a corner with Ousmane Dembele and Sergio Busquets in the stands. In the next action Marcus Rashford slotted home the 1-1 at the near post.
Fred set him up in space and the English player beat Jordi Alba on the run and Marcos Alonso one-on-one. With virtually no angle, he looked for the net and found a mistake by the German goalkeeper, who was unable to prevent the score from being level. The first leg ended 2-2.
Barcelona's ordeal came at Old Trafford the following week. Robert Lewandowski made it 2-3 in the tie from the penalty spot, but Antony completed an emphatic comeback with the definitive 4-3 that meant 'Cule' failure in the Europa League with their new attacker as a direct witness.
