The great gift from Leeds for a fan with cancer

Football is used to having these gifts, but in times of a pandemic it has to be improvised. As Elliot Metcalfe couldn't walk out with Liam Cooper for the match against Arsenal, Leeds looked for a way that the young fan was able to be present at that moment.

And they did so. A tablet, a videocall and the young Leeds fan Elliot Metcalfe, who is battling cancer, in the hands of Liam Cooper. He could see what it's like coming out to the pitch alongside his idols first hand.

The image, which was also projected onto the big screens, is going around the world. A 10/10 for Leeds.
