The first goal of the Spanish league 2021/22!

The first goal of the Spanish league 2021/22 now has a name. It came in the match between SD Huesca and Eibar in the Spain's second division, a clash which had the feeling of first tier given that both were in Spain's elite league a few months ago.

SD Huesca were looking for the opener until a chance arrived for Joaquin which he was not going to turn down, a player who was on loan at Malaga last season. Pulido found his teammate with a long pass that caught the Eibar defence by suprise and with their back to goal. As a result, Joaquin found himself completely alone in front of goal.

The striker's effort wasn't his finest, as his volley was fired straight at Yoel, who got hands on the shot. However, he was unable to keep the effort out, the ball practically trickling over the line. After a brief review, VAR found no offside in the build up, meaning it could stand as the first goal of the Spanish league 2021/22 season, scored in the 21st minute.
