"The coach prepares away games poorly"

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Pablo Simeone admitted his side were weak in conceding goals against Almeria and took responsibility for the red-and-white side's poor away numbers.

"The only thing I can explain is that the coach prepares away games poorly, there are a lot of points and games. It depends on our work, on the involvement of the team," Simeone said about his side.

For Cholo Simeone, the match against UD Almeria, which ended 2-2, has an easy explanation: "It was quite clear; we started very well with a play by Barrios who was one-on-one, Memphis' goal, clear plays to lead the game".

"We were weak in the two goals we conceded because we didn't have the solidity, as well as Melero's third, which could have been the goal that defined the game. The good thing is that we have chances, we need to improve defensively and keep insisting on scoring chances," he added.

The clearest chances fell to the visitors.
